Deritec Exclusive is participating in the "Aquadar" project, the most expensive house in Portugal. We are proud to be part of this project.
We are implementing advanced home automation solutions that will transform the way residents interact with their home, providing an experience of comfort, safety and efficiency. From home automation systems to environmental control and smart security, we are dedicated to integrating the latest technologies.
It is located in the Algarve, has 3,000 square meters and costs 45 million euros. According to Fastrooij, it will be ready in 2026, so there is the dream and the investment.
"Situated on a vast 13-hectare plot of land in the Algarve, the villa comprises eight suites, a spacious home office, a majestic living room and a kitchen with a breathtaking ceiling height of 4.5 metres.
There is also, of course, a cinema room, a wine cellar and an indoor pool for colder days or simply to maintain privacy.
Alongside the luxurious interiors, there is an inviting exterior flanked by water and a private forest. Hard to imagine? Architect Marcelo Santos designed it in such a way as to "preserve the distinct volumes of the two existing ruins, using locally sourced materials to maintain their authentic essence. In other words, by introducing a modern touch, the new buildings will exude a contemporary allure. "To establish a symbiotic connection between the contemporary and the traditional, panoramic glass bridges cross reflective water mirrors, where the water serves as a unifying element, creating a visually appealing experience", he concludes.
However, more than a house, we are talking about a lifestyle. Designed by architect Marcelo Santos and carried out by the company Eugénio Martins, the entire project was designed by Fastrooij and will be ready in 2026. Who is behind the most expensive house in Portugal?
"Why can't Portugal have such valuable houses?
We have a lot to offer compared to other countries that have properties of this calibre. With 300 days of sunshine a year, safety, culture and gastronomy, we have everything to be a destination of choice for high-end investors", says Sebastião Bastos, managing director of Fastrooij.
The property developer with Dutch roots was founded by businessman Nicolaas Van Wanrooij, a former partner in the second largest construction company in the Netherlands. The story is simple. "He fell in love with the Algarve in 2009, while visiting a friend and decided to stay. He realised that the luxury sector in the region had potential and, tired of the mass construction in the Netherlands, he wanted to create something more personalised. That's how Fastrooij was born", says Sebastião. Finally, he reveals that his "mission" is to position the company "contributing to the valorization of the Algarve as a destination of choice for real estate investments".
